Early Puppy Introductory Training

Our Early Puppy Introductory Training is one of a kind!  It is not meant to make the puppies master each thing they are exposed to or taught, but instead to be a smooth and safe introduction.  Each technique is performed and supervised by our own experienced on-site trainer.  Our philosophy is to build the puppies up by exposing them to unique things and situations while making it a positive experience.  We’ve found that this helps to improve their confidence and make them less fearful and stressed when trying new things at a later stage.

Potty Training

Crate Training

The puppies go through several different stages of potty training.  We’ve found that using these newspaper flakes as litter makes for a really smooth transition.

The puppies are introduced to different types of crates for their initial crate training.  Future crate training is useful in the events of traveling, AKC showing, potty training, boarding, and acting as a “safe space” for your dog.

The “Super Dog” Program

Rapid Neurological Growth
(3 days old – 16 days old)
Each step repeated once per day for 3 – 5 seconds

  1. Tactical Stimulation (q-tip between toes)
  2. Head held straight up
  3. Head pointed straight down
  4. Position on back (in hands)
  5. Thermal Stimulation (damp, refrigerated towel. Place puppy feet down)

Benefits of “Super Dog” Program

  1. Improved cardio vascular performance (heart rate)
  2. Stronger heart beats
  3. Stronger adrenal glands
  4. More tolerance to stress
  5. Greater resistance to disease

“In tests of learning, stimulated pups were found to be more active and were more exploratory than their non- stimulated littermates over which they were dominant in competitive situations.

Secondary effects were also noted regarding test performance. In simple problem solving tests using detours in a maze, the non-stimulated pups became extremely aroused, whined a great deal, and made many errors. Their stimulated littermates were less disturbed or upset by test conditions and when comparisons were made, the stimulated littermates were more calm in the test environment, made fewer errors and gave only an occasional distress sound when stressed.” (https://breedingbetterdogs.com/article/early-neurological-stimulation)
